Bymead House
Bymead House is a medium sized Nursing and Residential Home in the picturesque seaside village of Charmouth in Dorset. Bymead House is comprised of 30 single rooms. 27 have en-suite facilities and all are equipped with a nurse call system, telephone and television. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms. We have two wet rooms along with a further bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath. All bathing facilities are fully accessible for disabled residents. We strive to provide the highest standards of care and as such we are fully committed to maintain and implementing our aims as follows: KINDNESS- The connection that binds us to each other, to our residents, their families and the community. INDEPENDENCE- We assist residents to make their own decisions and act for themselves wherever we can. RESPECT- We ensure a comfortable, inclusive and interesting environment, treating people as we would like to be treated ourselves. PRIVACY- We ensure all our residents have the right to be undisturbed when they wish and manage their own affairs. DIGNITY- We treat each resident as a valued individual and effectively fulfil their wishes. CHOICE- We ensure each individual gets the right help and support which enables them to make choices and express preferences. COLLABORATION- We work together with people who support common values and visions shared goals. We have a full time qualified Activities Organiser who is responsible for residents’ social events. The home has its own minibus for outings, and associated trips that will aid the individual to socialise and give added interest to outdoor activities.

Dad moved here about a month ago. I can't thank the staff enough for their kindness and care. When I visit I'm always made to feel welcome. The food is varied, well presented and dad says it is very tasty. There are always things arranged for residents to take part in. Even those who prefer or need to stay in their rooms are included. I would recommend Bymead.
my mother judith has been in bymead for a month now it took her a couple of weeks to settle in but she is now very happy the staff are wonderfull always available happy chatty and compacionate the management always have time to talk and discuss any questions you may have just hope bymead is still around when i need it thankyou every one joe jervis
