If you really care for your loved one do NOT send them to this "gulag". Speaking as we find they take away your dignity. if you are frail and at risk of a fall they will take your mobility too, it's easier for them if you don't walk so "sit down, don't walk around" is something you'll hear a lot in the lounge.
My Father has only been in the home for 48 hours but already the change in him is remarkable. He's relaxed , not scared anymore. He's smiling again and I can't thank the lovely staff enough. X
