The facilities are nice but the staff on the first floor assessment unit were shocking. If your relative is complacent they may be fine, but if they suffer with complicated health problems and/or some degree of dementia go elsewhere! Very little training or compassion here.
This is a wonderful nursing home with extremely high standards of care. The staff are really lovely and the premises are modern, spacious and clean with plenty of outside green space. The Care Quality Commission rating is not up to date and does not reflect the current quality of care.
My husband has recently spent two weeks Respite Care at Hawkhurst House.I would highly recommend this Care Home.All the staff are friendly caring and helpful nothing is too much trouble. I will definitely be using the respite facility again …

My mum was placed here from hospital. The compassion and care she has received at Hawkhurst has been amazing. A very well managed care home.
