Established in 1984, The Heathers’ exceptional level of care and support enjoys an excellent reputation for which they are very proud. Located in leafy Shortlands village, backing onto the golf course, this 14 bedroom Care Home offers a warm, friendly environment, with large, welcoming and mature gardens. A fully trained, long standing staff, ensure residents lead normal, homely lives and retain independence. Residents' rights to privacy, choice and dignity are respected at all times. Activities play an important role as ensure residents maintain personal hobbies and take regular exercise. As such they have their own Activities Coordinator and regular Fitness Instructor. Care workers encourage contact with social clubs, churches and outside contacts, as well as shopping trips, excursions and outings. To help make residents' lives more comfortable, they provide services from outside specialists such as weekly hairdressing appointments, a chiropodist, physiotherapist and a reflexologist who also provides massages. To ensure complete satisfaction, they have their own in-house chef, catering for varying tastes and ensuring an ever changing diverse menu.
